Corrective nasal surgery
![]() |
This operation alters the nasal bone structure without creating externally visible scars. The skin adapts to the new contour, improving the shape of the nose. A cast must be worn for approximately two weeks after the operation. The nose will no longer be swollen. The patient must wait approximately four weeks before resuming athletic activities. Plastic surgery for the eyelidsCorrective surgery for hooded eyes, hanging upper lids, and tear sacs takes place under local anesthesia. It may also be performed under general semi-anesthesia as well. |
Corrective upper eyelid surgery
This procedure involves an incision to the upper eyelid which is later practically invisible in the folds of the eyelid. In this operation, part of the fatty tissue is removed and will not grow back. The pupillary sphincter is also tightened. This procedure takes approximately one hour and is performed on an outpatient basis. The patient should limit athletic activities somewhat for one week, as swelling may still occur. After three to four weeks, the scar is no longer visible.
Corrective surgery for tear sacs
One incision is made on the edge of the lower eyelid and the existing fatty tissue is removed. This takes places under general semi-anesthesia and local anesthesia. The incision is later no longer visible. Additionally, the muscles and the skin are tightened.
Mammary gland removal Breast development in men is known as gynecomastia.
This is relatively common in puberty and usually disappears on its own. Increased mammary glands on both sides can have hormonal causes which should be determined before the operation. Permanent swelling in the breast area can be corrected using ultrasound-assisted liposuction (removal of fatty tissue).
Breast reduction
If the removal of undesired breast fat is not sufficient, removal of the mammary gland tissue and excess skin may be necessary in some cases.
A barely visible incision is made at the edge of the areola for the reduction of breasts. This ensures that no conspicuous scars remain after the operation. This procedure is suitable for both younger and older men.
The operation takes approximately two hours and is performed under general semi-anesthesia and local anesthesia. After the operation, the patient must wear a bandage or compression vest for a total of three weeks. After one week, the patient may resume normal activities without experiencing problems.
Corrective chin surgery
The appearance of a receding chin can be corrected using various types of implants.
A prominent chin can be reduced by removal of chin bone at the tip or middle of the chin. Post-operation treatments vary widely depending on type of chin correction. Most corrective chin surgery takes place under general anesthesia.
Body shaping via liposuction
Certain areas of the male body (the „beer belly“ and double chin) contain a particularly high number of fat cells.
Liposuction (fat removal) can permanently remove these fat stores. Fat cells that have been removed via liposuction will not grow back.
The tumescence method
In order to prepare the tissue for liposuction, the tumescence method involves injecting a large amount of diluted anesthetic solution into the subdermal fatty tissue. The skin swells visibly, as if it were blown up. The fat cells are now „swimming“ and can easily be suctioned.
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction
Fat cell destruction using an ultrasound is a method that is gentle on tissue. The water-filled fat cells are destroyed using the effects of the ultrasound. Their contents become liquefied. Tissue with low water content (such as blood vessels, lymph channels, neural structures) and connective tissue are for the most part protected.
Subcutaneous sweat gland removal (underarm area)
Subdermal fatty tissue is removed via suction through an incision in the skin. The nerves leading to the sweat glands in the subdermal tissue are cut through.
If needed, the sweat glands can additionally be abraded (scraped away). This procedure can be carried out under local anesthesia. However, it rarely results in a total elimination of perspiration.
Plastic surgery for the calves
In plastic surgery for the calves, the implant – available in many different shapes and sizes to meet the needs of all patients – is inserted directly into the hollow of the knee via an incision.
In general, it is impossible for the implant to be displaced here, as it becomes wrapped in connective tissue once it has been inserted into the body, much like a breast implant. The calf implant procedure requires the patient to stay at the Vienna Private Clinic until the following day. The patient must wear a compression bandage for a time following the operation.
Hair removal
![]() |
Excessive hair, including hair on the chest, back and abdominal area, can be removed with a laser. This treatment involves applying a targeted high-frequency laser to the skin. The laser reacts with the melanin in the hair follicle, resulting in long-lasting damage to the hair root. The surrounding skin is not affected. Tattoo removal Unwanted tattoos can be removed in several sessions using the laser method. The dye laser destroys collagen fibers, breaking up the dye into miniscule parts. The body’s own defense system transports and disposes of the small dye particles. |
