Developing a career in aesthetic surgery

During her professional development, Dr Millesi has specifically dealt with the development of cosmetic/aesthetic surgery, which is considered to be a special branch of plastic surgery.
When Dr Millesi opened her own clinic, she started working on the founded aesthetic surgery. She places special importance on the individual consultations with patients. As an experienced expert in the field, Dr Millesi will refuse to perform any procedure which is not recommendable or which could prove damaging to the health of the patient.

Choice of procedures in aesthetic surgery

The spectrum of the procedures Dr Milessi performs is a very wide. Experts in plastic and aesthetic surgery are the first ones which decide upon performing a procedure in cosmetic surgery. The range of the procedures offered starts with the very simple once like hair removal or laser treatment of varicose veins, through face lifting, correction of the eyelids and laser extraction of the fat tissue which leaves the surrounding tissue undamaged, to the complicated procedures from the field of reconstructive surgery. Since the need for cosmetic services increases each day, many physicians in Austria with no experience in plastic surgery offer their services from the field of aesthetic surgery. Dr Millesi frequently emphasizes that the success of the therapy and post-operative care highly depend on the doctor’s expertise.

Patient-centered approach

As an experienced micro surgeon, Dr Millesi pays special importance on the individual needs and desires of her patients. During the consultation between the doctor and the patient, a common solution will be found. The most important principle Dr Milllesi follows in her work is to create harmonious and natural contours, which will look as naturally as possible. During the treatment, Dr Milllesi also makes sure that each patient-individual has access to all the necessary psychological support and help. A permanent relationship of mutual trust will be formed between the doctor and the patient.

‘This is the crucial element in any healing process’, says
Dr Millesi.
